What's that you say? Two Months?? Congrats Amber and Dave. I'm aware that they are making peace signs in the picture, but it works for the number two as well! I was just browsing some old pictures from Christmas (hence the coat, lamb) and came across this picture. Then I realized that it has almost been two months since their big day. So that's my logic, nothing too hard about it.

I've been watching the clouds and their patterns recently and I have to say, it is quite interesting. Usually in the morning the skies are clear-- maybe a cloud here or there but nothing substantial. Then when I leave work there are usually huge cumulonimbus clouds over in the Ogden Valley or somewhere in the distance. I'm going to take a picture of one someday, but I don't have one yet. I'm sure you've seen them, they almost look like mushroom clouds in the sky. Beautiful things! I'm wondering where they come from. Are they made over in the Pacific and then shipped here by UPS or FedEx? Are they made locally and exported? I don't know.
Here's a typical summer shot for you. A hawk in the distance, clouds in the sky, dry and brown terrain all make it pretty neat in my eyes. Speaking of hawks, I went up on the dry farm with my dad a week or so ago and we saw a couple hawks. And I'd be darned if I didn't hear a screech of a Bald Eagle--well, screech of a little hawk. I learned something: that oftentimes in movies they'll dub in the Red-Tailed Hawk screech for the eagle because it sounds more majestic. (Go here to listen to the Bald Eagle) Learn something new everyday, I guess. I also learned from a river guide in Jackson that eagles will often chase Osprey and steal their fish, even in mid-air. Bald Eagles are more scavengers than anything. I don't know about you, but our nation's bird is not winning me over very quickly!
